Too many businesses today are willing to do whatever it takes to make a profit. While we understand that profit is important,
we also think certain lines should never be crossed. With that in mind, we committed early on that Elucidated Technology will deal
ethically, honestly, and openly with all of our clients, employees, and vendors - even if that means less revenue for the company.
We believe that the results people are capable of achieving as a team are greater than the sum of the individual contributions.
Innovative ideas come from all levels of an organization. When we partner with a client, we really are forming a team with that client
to ensure project success.
People often speak of being able to lead a horse to water, but not make it drink. Nobody seems to consider the horse's point of view.
We begin our interractions with the assumption that the client is the absolute expert on his or her challenge, and it is our role to
coach and to advise the client within our area of expertise. We understand that respect is earned, and we strive to be worthy of our
reputation in every action.
Nobody ever said life was going to be fair. We think that should change, and we're working on it one interraction at a time.
At Elucidated Technology, we believe fairness should be part of the equation in how we deal with clients, vendors, and one another. If
something feels unfair, it probably means something needs to change. We also believe that the perceived value for our services is much
higher when our clients feel they have been treated fairly, and that makes good business sense.
The one constant in life is that everything changes, and this is especially true with technology. We understand that our clients' priorities
may shift from time to time, and that the responsibility lies with us to shift our priorities accordingly.
We understand that with being a great company comes the responsibility to be a good corporate citizen, and we believe in giving back
to the community. That's why apart from our community outreach and charity programs, Elucidated Technology has one of the most flexible
policies today for our citizen soldiers (including continued pay during deployment, and automatic pay increases for National Guard and Reserve
members who are deployed during our review period). That is also why we allow our employees to perform a certain amount of charitable work
during normal working hours.
Elucidated Technology Principles
At some time in his or her career, every technology professional has worked with that one person who has a brilliant mind,
but an enormous ego to go with it. We've been there too, which is why we decided that being a technology expert is not, and never
can be, enough. At Elucidated Technology, we want more for our clients, and more for our company. To that end, we have developed
a set of principles to guide us. The technology gives us the "what"; Our principles guide us in the "how".
- Be respectful
- Keep an open mind
- Honor commitments and meet obligations
- Be a good corporate citizen
- Strive for personal and professional growth
- Seek first to understand, then to be understood
- Educate from empathy, not from arrogance
- Focus first on the business process, then on the technology
- Never bill for anything you would be personally unwilling to pay for
- Remember that the customer may not always be right, but he or she is always the customer
